Deep within the enchanting rolling hills, dwelt a boy named Shepherd. His being was mostly untarnished, simple yet virtuous. His main role was essentially to tend to his flock of sheep.
Their soft bleating and the rustling of the wind among the solo tree on the hilltop were his constant companions. Day after day, looking out for his wards instilled in him a sense of quiet fulfillment.

One day he raced into the village screaming “Wolf! A wolf is preying on my sheep!” The terrified villagers ran up the hills to offer assistance but found no wolf.
The boy chuckled at the puzzle on their faces. This prank continued for a couple of more days. But, one day, a real wolf did charge at the flock. The shepherd boy ran for help, screaming “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, no one showed up.
Frustrated and alone, the boy battled against the wolf but managed to protect only few of his flock. Devastated, he went back to the check here village only to be met with a scolding on honesty and the results of false alarms.
The story of this shepherd boy has been transmitted generations as a mediaeval parable for teaching the significance of honesty, the implications of dishonesty and the dangers of crying wolf. Moreover, it stresses how trust once broken, is hard to regain. It's a story as appropriate today as it was anciently.
